Hello Ladies!!
This is the first Summit 2020 Newsletter to help keep you up to date on all the things happening!!!
The Summit is a three-day, two-night conference about women’s hiking, dreaming, traveling and goal-setting, all nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina!!
We are working hard on a fabulous line-up of Speakers and Clinicians. Here is just a small sampling of things that will be offered!!!
Judyth Wier, - Hiking the Himalayans At the age of 71, Judyth decided that it was time to hike the Himalayans in Bhutan. She will share her stories of preparation, research, gear buying, and of course, the trekking!!
Mikella Rutter- Tortoise Tracks and is my story of hiking the Camino de Santiago. The moments I endured from being slow and last and the lessons learned along the way. The friendships formed, the experiences along the trail, and the memories made culminated in a love for hiking and a desire for more.
Diohn Brancaleoni- Sacred Stories- Diohns session gives us a chance to explore the archetypes, mythology and transformative moments of our life's journeys using a deck of inspiration cards and a willingness share our stories. This will be a wonderful session of exploration and transformation.
Tami Brooks- 52 Weeks, 52 Hikes- Join Tami as she tells how a goal to hike the Rim to Rim trail in the Grand Canyon turned into a year of adventure in the outdoors!!
Susan Turner, aka Hammock Hanger- Hiking from Florence to Rome- Walking 500 miles through Italy has to be just about the most romantic, exciting thing ever!! Join Susan as she talks about the walk, the wine, and the people that she met along the way.
Cheryl Suchors- Hiking the 4,000 Footers of New Hampshire! You may remember Cheryl as a recent guest on the Trail Dames podcast! Join us as Cheryl tells her stories of not only climbing every one of these formidable mountains, but also of writing a book all about it.
We also have Colleen Maki doing a cool knot-tying class, Amy Faillace doing a painting class, and returning speakers from our last Summit...Nora Tocups, Carla Robertson, Karen Rutter and Christine Gautreaux!!! We will have more details on these awesome speakers in a future newsletter, as well as information on other speakers joining us! We hope to see you there!!!
