Name:
Sue Williams, aka Leapfrog

Where do you live:  Davisburg, Michigan

What is the title of your session? 1.Common Sense Ideas for Lightweight Backpacking. This is geared towards making your experience safe and more fun. 2.Prehab, how to get in shape and stay in shape even if you are allergic to going to the gym.

What is your favorite part about being outdoors? Getting away from the noise and hustle of everyday life

Do you have a favorite hike or adventure? My hike on the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal was life changing. It taught me how to get outside my comfort zone, travel alone to the other side of the world and accomplish something I never thought I could. The people were kind and friendly, and the hike took me through amazing countrysides.

What is your never-leave-home-without piece of gear?

My Montbell Liner Jacket can be used for warmth and as my pillow.

What encouragement would you give to a woman that is new to the outdoors or nervous about getting out there? Join organizations, read books, interview women of your age and physical stature, attend seminars and join Facebook pages. It is just one step after the other!

Any other thoughts?  FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real, and knowledge reduces fear. Find people who have accomplished what you would like to do, and ask an zillion questions. You will find the biggest compliment you can give someone is to ask for advice.
