It’s dark at breakfast, dark at tea. Trees are popping up in reception areas. Michael Buble has emerged from hibernation and onto shop PA systems once more and the funny smelling office decorations have come out of that cupboard in the corner. It can only mean one thing.*
Christmas is on the way. In fact, there’s less than a month until the last day of term (21 December this year).
As always, our Family Information Service Directory is packed fuller than an overfilled stocking, so if you’re looking for things to do this festive season make sure you take a look! Here's a few suggestions to whet your appetite.
We would love you to join us for a great festive day out for the whole family. We will have lots of FREE crafts & activites for children. Santa's sleigh will take part in the Christmas parade, then you can visit him in his new grotto on the Market Place all afternoon
Our popular Carol Evening on the train is offered in support of the great work of our local St Andrew's Church at Chinnor. Each Adult or Senior ticket purchaser can include one accompanied Child (5-15 years) for just £1 each - everyone is welcome to come along, join in with the singing and thoroughly enjoy this annual festive treat. Your local library is so much more than books and DVDs
Did you know they hold events? That it’s a meeting place for reading groups and support groups? That there are Digital Helper volunteers that can help with getting online from anything from online shopping to sending emails? That your local library team can help with blue badge and bus pass applications as well? And if you can’t get to the library one of our Home Library Volunteers could bring it to you.
