Get ready for the Bank Holiday

The summer holidays are drawing to a close but there's still a Bank Holiday before we're back to the school run!*

*even if it's traditionally a complete washout..

Summer Fun Trails 14 Jul-2 Sep

Orienteering family fun during the summer holidays from 14th July through to the 2nd September. Enjoy exploring the ornamental gardens, using directions and clues, to find the characters!
Towersey Village Festival

Festival - a celebration, a gathering of friends, family and neighbours to meet others and relax, eat, drink and party in common and friendly atmosphere. You don’t need smart hotels, you don’t need long sandy beaches, and you don’t need every star performer on the planet.
The Big Feastival - Chipping Norton

The Big Feastival is a unique music, food and family festival hosted by Jamie Oliver and Alex James. The Feastival is set on Alex’s idyllic Cotswolds farm in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.
The War on Plastic: Recycling & Reduction at The River & Rowing Museum

An exhibition about the importance of plastic reduction with a local Henley on Thames focus. The exhibition will include projects from local schools including St Marys, interviews with local ‘green’ businesses and people including Nicole Hewitt of Chi Salon and information on how plastics are affecting our world and what we can do about it. 
Fairytale Festival

It’s nearly the last chance to visit Fairytale Farm’s first ever Fairytale Festival, which will run every day from 26th July to 3rd September 2018. With interactive fairytale storytelling that will bring some of the most famous fairytales alive, crafts and summer games, there will be something for everyone. Train like a Jedi

Stuck for ideas for the bank holiday weekend? Why not spend it teaching the kids how to use the force?* Train like a Jedi has been revealing a different Star WarsTM planet every week, with brand new games and bonus downloads to print and make. It's a brilliant way to help your kids get their recommended 60 minutes of daily physical activity, through lots of short bursts of fun.

Kidlington supermarket owners convicted of selling illegal tobacco

An owner and former owner of Wisla Supermarket (12 The Parade), Kidlington, pleaded guilty to possession of illegal and smuggled tobacco, during a hearing at Oxford Magistrates Court on 21 August.
