Do you have an annoying cold?
At this busy time of year, you really could do without the common cold.  It is a virus that essential oils may be able to help you control or shrug off.  Inhalations can be really helpful (not for asthmatics) or approx 6 drops in a bath (remembering to blend with carrier oils or with a little milk or alcohol).  The oils to reach for are tea tree, eucalyptus, lavender, rosemarythyme and peppermint.
Eucalyptus, thyme and tea tree can help with immune function, lavender can be helpful for throat and aids sleep.  Eucalyptuspeppermint, rosemary  & thyme may help with respiratory congestion.   For an inhalation put 3-4 drops into very hot water in a bowl.  Put a towel over your head and lower your head to about 20cm above the water level in the bowl and breathe normally (be very careful not to spill the hot water) for around 5mins.  Do this regularly, maybe 3-4 times a day if possible until symptoms subside, but the most important inhalation is just before bed (as rosemary and peppermint are stimulating oils don't use them at bedtime).
