Economic Outlook series kicks off Dec. 14 in Atlanta

The Georgia Economic Outlook series brings the expertise of the Terry College to nine cities across the state to offer specific insights into next year’s economy. Learn about the nation’s economic trajectory, the trends shaping our state’s fiscal outlook, and what to expect for your local area in 2017 from forecasts based on accurate, reliable data from the Selig Center for Economic Growth.

Missing work is a pain

A little pill can have a big effect on worker absenteeism, according to a new study co-authored by Meghan Skira, an economics professor at Terry. She found that when a popular pain-relieving medication was taken off the market, the negative consequences for worker absenteeism were greater than the benefits it produced when on the market.

Archie Carroll receives Outstanding Service Award

Archie Carroll, professor emeritus of management, was honored with the Hunt Sustained Outstanding Service Award by the Southern Management Association at its recent annual meeting.
