Taskforce on the Recruitment of Students of African Descent appointed
Provost Wartzok has established a taskforce on the recruitment of students of African descent. As stated in the 2010 University Work Plan, the University has set a goal to increase the number of baccalaureate degrees awarded to black students. FIU selected to nominate Woodrow Wilson National Fellowships
Florida International University has been selected to join an elite group of only 47 U.S. universities to act as nominating institutions for the Woodrow Wilson-Rockefeller Brothers Fund Fellowships for Aspiring Teachers of Color.
