Preschool Open House
Saturday, January 21 A Note from the Director:
Since the passing of the Library millage last November, we've been able to make several exciting improvements and electronic upgrades. Thanks to the support of our excellent community we can now offer:
Online Registration for Programs and Rooms:
We are very excited to announce two new online services for our community, which allow people to schedule study rooms and register for programs any time through our website.
The Library's small study rooms seat up to 8 people, and are popular with students, business people, and anyone who needs a quiet place to work or meet with a friend or associate. Now these spaces can be reserved online from your favorite device. Visit brightonlibrary.evanced.info/dibs to book a room. Reservations can be made for up to 2 hours per day, and up to a week in advance.
The Library’s new events calendar went live in early December. Among other improvements, it allows users to register for Library programs online from the calendar listing, and to get email or text reminders when the date of a program approaches.
We also expanded our database offerings with:
Consumer Reports and Morningstar Investment Research Center.
Our digital collection was greatly enhanced with the addition of Hoopla which offers instant access to audiobooks, comics, eBooks, movies, music, and television shows.
As we begin a new year, the improvements will continue as we renovate our women's and men's restrooms. Remodeling is already complete in the family restroom in the Youth Department. We're glad to have you along for the journey as we continue improving our wonderful facility and collection to meet your needs.
