Familiar Faces taking on New Roles
at the Library
We are very pleased to welcome two "new" staff members. Vickie Weyand (L in photo), who has been part of the Youth Department for several years, has moved into a new role as Outreach Librarian. Vickie will be working in both Adult and Youth Services, developing programs and collections for a variety of user populations, including businesses, disabled or home-bound, and social service agencies. Mary Daugherty (on R) is returning to the BDL staff and the Youth Department as Early Literacy Specialist, bringing her training and experience to develop Library programs and services for children up to age 5, as well as working with early childhood programs in our community. Congratulations, Vickie and Mary!

Get Digital Editions of Your Favorite Magazines through the Library
Brighton District Library is pleased to join The Library Network group offering Zinio for Libraries. Through the group’s website, BDL cardholders have unlimited multi-user access to complete digital magazines, which can easily be viewed on most Internet-enabled devices inside or outside of the library. Whether it is The Economist or Us Weekly, Zinio’s unique technology digitally recreates a magazine page for page, including full color pictures, intuitive navigation, key word article search, and interactive elements such as audio and video. Issues from more than 250 magazines are available, covering a wide range of interests. More details are available at the website:, or ask for assistance at the Information Desk.
Please note that due to licensing restrictions, this service is available only to district residents.
The Library will be CLOSED,
Sunday, April 5.
Happy Easter!
