Thanks to the Friends of the Brighton District Library for supporting Library events.
March 1 - April 30, 2017
A Note from the Director:
During the month of March the Library is excited to offer a wide variety of enriching programs and displays. The Brighton District Library will once again be collaborating with neighboring libraries to present our annual Livingston Reads events. We are reading and presenting programming based on the classic thriller Jaws by Peter Benchley, which we hope will appeal to both teen and adult readers.
March is Parenting Awareness Month, which aims to bring awareness to the critical role that effective parenting plays throughout a child’s life. During the month of March, the Brighton District Library has a great programming lineup to help you become a stronger parent.
In celebration of the 2017 Michigan Reads! winner, youth department staff will present a zany skit of Bubble Bum, Bubble Gum by Lisa Wheeler with lots of fun activities to follow.
Additionally, we are excited to partner with Brighton Area Schools by showcasing local elementary students’ artwork in the Norma Grey Gallery during the month of March.
We hope there is something to enlighten and engage each of you this upcoming month. For a complete listing of our programs, be sure to click on the links above.
Finally, thanks to our community’s financial support with the millage replacement in 2015, our restrooms have been completely remodeled. Be sure to check them out on your next visit to the Library!
