Digital Editions of Your Favorite Magazines Now Available
through the Library
Brighton District Library is pleased to join The Library Network group offering Zinio for Libraries. Through the group’s website, BDL cardholders have unlimited multi-user access to complete digital magazines, which can easily be viewed on most Internet-enabled devices inside or outside of the library. Whether it is The Economist or Us Weekly, Zinio’s unique technology digitally recreates a magazine page for page, including full color pictures, intuitive navigation, key word article search, and interactive elements such as audio and video. Issues from more than 250 magazines are available, covering a complete range of interests. More details are available at the website:
www.rbdigital.com/thelibrarynetworkmi/service/zinio, or ask for assistance at the Information Desk.

Please note that due to licensing restrictions, this service is available only to district residents.

Brighton...Naturally Resource Kits
Eleven exciting and unique nature-based resource boxes are now ready for checkout at the Brighton District Library.

Each kit connects individuals to the natural world, filled with carefully selected books, learning toys, and activities. These materials are perfect for Scout leaders, homeschoolers, and preschool through elementary classroom teachers. A Teacher Card permits long-term borrowing of these materials. Youth Services staff is happy to assist with the selection of a topic: the seasons, birds, insects, wildflowers, gardening, wildlife tracks, nature projects, biographies, and more. We invite you to visit the Youth Services Department to check out these exciting new resources.

Brighton...Naturally is the Library's environmental education initiative to connect children, families, and individuals to the natural world. Longtime educator Joyce Powers provided the leadership gift and environmental education resources which anchor this project. Our geographic natural history is our treasure,” said Joyce Powers.
