The Original Dickens Carolers, Saturday, Dec 4, 2-3:30pm
The Library is changing its hours of operation.
Effective Jan 8, 2011, the Library's Saturday hours will change from 10am-5pm to 1pm-5pm. The Library will also be closed every Sunday during the school summer vacation. As property tax revenue, our largest source of funding, continues to decrease, the Library has had to accommodate a 6% reduction in our 2011 budget. This reduction in our hours is one of the steps we have taken to manage this.
Brighton District Library will miss a dear friend and colleague. Youth Librarian Sandy Schneidewind passed away in November after a sudden illness. Sandy was employed with the Brighton District Library for 8 years. Her kindness, dedication, and friendship will be missed by the entire staff and the community she served.
A memorial fund has been established in her name at the Library.
