Hello <<First Name>>!
We had another great presentation last month by ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer Julian deBullet on the current state of refrigerants in our industry with a glimpse into where the industry is going from here. I hope everyone took away something useful from this presentation. We had 29 total of people attend the meeting and as always we really appreciate the turnout. We received 25 evaluation forms back with a total point average of 92.2 out of 100. Remember the evaluation forms help us select future topics and speakers so please keep giving us your feedback- good, bad or otherwise. We are also looking for topics and presenters for next year so if you have any topic requests or suggestions please feel free to let me know - my email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
February Lunch Meeting
Date: Wednesday, February 8th
Time: 12:00 noon - 1:30pm
Location: Viscount Suites (4855 E. Broadway)
The current approach to designing air handling systems and acoustics will be discussed. Typically, one must design the entire air distribution system in order to determine if that design meets the acoustic goal. Many times the answer comes back – “No!” By then, the building design is too far advanced to accommodate the lowest energy acoustic solutions. Often, the performance of the air handling equipment, and thus the owner, are then penalized for the life of the equipment.
About the speaker:
Steve Dikeman is the President of AcoustiFLO LLC located in Boulder, Colorado. He has been in the HVAC business since 1977 and has had a specific focus on central fan equipment for the past 15 years. Steve presently serves on the AMCA fan committee.
