Polymer Coated Steel Tunnel Liner Plate Successfully Rehabilitates Failing Concrete Box Culvert

In 2016, near East McKirdy, Ontario, a  failing 108 year-old, cast-in-place (CIP) concrete box culvert beneath the highway was rehabilitated by lining it with polymer coated sections of 3200 pi-mm Tunnel Liner Plate.

In addition to protecting the renovated structure from corrosion, abrasion and diluted, inorganic acids and alkalis, the Tunnel Liner Plate rehabilitation extended the structure’s service life up to 100 years.
