4 things you can do for your business now

1. Connect with help

You have a network of experts who are ready to help you navigate this challenging time. Many of them are right here in the KCSourceLink network of 240+ nonprofit Resource Partners, and many offer services at no cost.

Give us a call at 816-235-6500 or set up a virtual one-on-one with our Network Navigators (se habla español), and we'll help you develop your Personal Action Plan.

2. Keep bringing in business

Now, more than ever, it's important to communicate with your customers. (Scroll down to the Doing Business Online section on this page for some tips and useful templates.)

Your challenge this week: Send an email or social media post to your clients, fans and followers, and let them know your plan for a #SafeReturnKC. And register for this webinar that kicks off 10 a.m. Wednesday to get a road map and guide to responsible re-entry to the workplace.

3. Limit expenses

Now is the time to save cash. That means cutting all non-essential expenses and limiting inventory purchases. Check out these quick cash-flow tips. And there's more good stuff on the finances and funding page.

4. Look beyond PPP and EIDL loan programs

Yes, you've probably heard a lot of about these two major loan programs, but if you didn't qualify, know there are other options, like SBA Express Bridge Loans, the Main Street Lending Program and new grants from Salesforce and Spanx.

We keep a running list of grant and loan opportunities here. Plus, you can reach out to us if you're curious about your financing and funding options. And check your local government sites because some offer special support for small businesses, depending on your location.

We're always here to help. Tell us what you need.
