The following news and resources are featured by the National Maternal and Child Oral Health Resource Center (OHRC).
OHRC is pleased to announce two updated resources.

Resource Highlights: Community Water Fluoridation features a presentation of key facts, recent materials, and selection of websites on community water fluoridation. For example, it includes the fact sheet, Natural Fluoride in Drinking Water, developed by the Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors. Topics addressed include how much fluoride is found naturally in drinking water sources, who is responsible for monitoring fluoride found in public water systems and in private drinking water sources, recommended levels for fluoride in drinking water sources, and water-filtration systems.

Resource Highlights: School Oral Health Services features a presentation of key facts, recent materials, and selected websites. For example, it includes a Memorandum of Agreement between the Hawaii Dental Association and the Hawaii Department of Education. This memorandum of agreement describes terms and conditions under which the Hawaii Dental Association is allowed to provide presentations, including presentations on dental hygiene, oral health awareness, and information about access to free oral health services, to students in public elementary schools in Hawaii.
Oral Health Care During Pregnancy: A Consensus Statement
We are preparing the next issue of Promoting Oral Health During Pregnancy—Update on Activities. Have you used the consensus statement? Tell us how! Please message us with information on how you have used the guidance from the consensus statement or its component parts (pharmacological table, Tips for Good Oral Health During Pregnancy) in your work in education/training, policy development, program administration, or care. And thank you; your examples may inspire others.

Footnotes 32, 33, and 35 have been updated/added. For further information, see the Bright Futures Guidelines, 4th Edition, Evidence and Rationale chapter
