May 2023 updates from the SIMAP team

Sign up for a 15-minute session with our revamped SIMAP office hours, register for an AASHE scope 3 session on SIMAP on Tuesday May 23rd at 1pm ET, meet our new SIMAP Program Assistant, Ciara Tennis, and more!

Important note: SIMAP prices will increase September 1st, 2023. Read on for more details.

Revamped SIMAP office hours

Schedule a 15-minute one-on-one session with the SIMAP team through our updated SIMAP office hours. We will no longer offer drop-in office hours. Instead, you can register for a 15-minute time slot on Tuesdays from 3-4pm ET or Fridays from 2-3pm ET. After scheduling, you will receive a calendar invite with a Teams meeting link.

Up to two 15-minute sessions per institution per quarter, or 8 total per year. Need more support? Contact us at simap@unh.edu for additional support options beyond our office hours.

 

Register for an AASHE scope 3 session with SIMAP

 

AASHE is organizing monthly scope 3 discussion sessions for colleges and universities. At the next session on Tuesday May 23rd at 1pm ET, the SIMAP team will present on our latest scope 3 additions. Register for the AASHE session here.
 

Introducing our new SIMAP team member!

We are very excited to welcome Ciara Tennis to the SIMAP team!

Ciara Tennis, SIMAP Program AssistantCiara Tennis is the new SIMAP Program Assistant with the UNH Sustainability Institute. She uses data to help institutions further their sustainability programs and initiatives. Ciara has experience working on greenhouse gas inventories as the University Assistant for Climate and Sustainability Initiatives at Eastern Connecticut State University analyzing and reporting data to grow the campus sustainability culture. She holds a B.A. in English and a B.A. in Art from Eastern Connecticut State University and a Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. Ciara looks forward to working with you all!

 

SIMAP price increase, effective September 1st, 2023

To ensure we can continue to provide a cutting-edge tool and enhanced user support, SIMAP annual license fees will be increased on September 1st, 2023. The prices will increase as follows:
 
  • Tier 1 will increase from $400/year to $500/year
  • Tier 2 will increase from $600/year to $750/year
 
Signatories to one of the Second Nature Presidents' Climate Leadership Commitments will continue to receive a 40% discount on the subscription price.
 

Register for courses for the UNH Carbon Footprinting Certificate

 
UNH Carbon Footprinting Certificate

 

Register now for spring courses for the UNH Carbon Footprinting Certificate. You can take the half-day virtual courses individually or as part of the certificate. The courses are taught by SIMAP team members Jenn Andrews and Dr. Alley Leach.
   
We will offer sections of all other carbon footprinting courses in fall 2023. We can also offer custom trainings. Contact us at simap@unh.edu for more information.
 

UNH Carbon Clinic Spring 2024 Applications Open


 

 

Piloted in spring of 2022, the new Carbon Clinic is an exciting opportunity for regional businesses, nonprofits, municipalities, and communities to partner with UNH students in a semester-long course. Apply here, or contact us at simap@unh.edu with any questions. We are currently accepting client applications for spring 2024.
 

SIMAP User Agreement Update

The SIMAP User Agreement was updated May 2023 with the following addition:

[Section IV, Paragraph 8] The parties acknowledge and agree that no UNH confidential information will be provided to you under this Agreement.
