Dear <<Salutation>> Reader,

With 25 days left before ISC’12 kicks off, the conference is shaping up to be the most successful in our 27 years. Although you have probably heard us say this before, it’s really true and your response proves this – the current registration is ahead of last year!
On top of that, 175 companies and research organizations from around the world, including 54 first time exhibitors are also eager to showcase their products, services and research work at this year’s exhibition – if you browse through the list of exhibitors, you’ll see some very interesting profiles. The agenda will also confirm that each day starting Sunday, June 17, offers a varied program, thus giving even the busiest people the chance to attend ISC’12. And with our flexible registration, you can sign up for only those sessions of interest to you.

Come and be a part of us from June 17 – 21 in Hamburg!

Martin Meuer
Executive Director

ISC’13 Exhibitor-booth booking is now open!
The ISC’13 booth slots are now open for booking and similar to last years, we will practice a first-come, first served policy in allocating booths to exhibitors. ISC’13 will be held in the Congress Center Leipzig from June 16–20, 2013.
With its state-of-the-art facilities and communication systems, CCL has convinced us that it will be the perfect venue to host the next International Supercomputing Conference. For a virtual tour, click here. The exhibition will again be held over two-and-a-half days, ending Wednesday evening.
To reserve a booth, please fill out the form at and submit your preference before ISC’12 kicks off!

Student Cluster Competition at ISC’12

One of the most exciting additions to ISC’12 this year is the Student Cluster Competition, co-organized with HPCAC and sponsored by Airbus. The goal of the competitions is to derive the most possible application performance using less than 3000 watts.
If you are a student and HPC enthusiast, you can attend the Cluster Competition awarding ceremony for FREE on Wednesday. For registration details, click here.

Announcing HPC in Asia Posters
The HPC in Asia Workshop steering committee has selected 13 posters out of submissions from China, Japan and India. The researchers will present their posters during the workshop on Sunday, June 17.

As for the ISC’12 Research Posters, the Poster Award winner is Christian Kehl, a PhD candidate at Delft University of Technology, for his poster on “Interactive Simulation & Visualization of Flooding Scenarios.”
All ISC and HPC in Asia posters will be displayed in the exhibition hall from Monday to Wednesday.

Live from ISC
At ISC’12, we will deploy a variety of information channels to disseminate the newest, coolest and most informative discoveries and developments during the entire conference.
On Sunday, June 17, all four TOP500 authors will be interviewed by HPCwire Soundbite hosts Michael Feldman and Addison Snell. On Monday, June 18, we will stream a selection of activities live from the Opening Session, the TOP500 announcement and the Hot Seat Sessions over the University of Hamburg website.
To spark discussions with the speakers, exhibitors and among attendees, we encourage all attendees to use the Twitter Hashtag #ISC12 or #ISCexhibit to tweet during the conference. We will also project tweets live in a few locations in the congress center and exhibition hall.
