Welcome to the Senmove Newsletter
Wow. School sport is going to look very different from now on. Is it really the end of the Youth Sports Trust? What will happen to the School Sports Partnerships? Will they continue and be paid for directly by schools? How do we ensure that high quality PE & Movement activities continue to be delivered to our students? Need somewhere to discuss these issues? Then visit our new forum - www.senmove.org/forum-4/
PE & Movement Practitioner at St Mary's University
It was good to meet all of the candidates on day one of the course. Their experience in special needs PE varies from physiotherapists, SSCO's, teachers recently becoming PE co-ordinator through to teachers with 14 years experience of delivering special needs PE. This diversity gave the mornings theory based workshop an interesting dimension where we discussed the ideas behind what we are trying to achieve (movement and progress) and which activities best achieve these aims. Consensus being that pool and trampoline based activities top the list.
The practical based afternoon session was pool based and focussed on the best methods of supporting students in the water.
In response to demand we are going to deliver our Practitioner course across the UK, including: the Midlands, the North West, the North East and the South West. Please register your interest with us - email@example.com
