Gravity & Grace

We live in a world of complexity, a time and place where we are surrounded by intriguing opportunities and curious ideas.

In the midst of a world swirling with stories, Paul invites the Colossian church (and us!)  to center their lives in the fullness of Christ: the deep well of grace, the source of life, the gravity making sense of all stories and holding all things together.

This past Sunday, we explored Paul's invitation in Col. 2:16-23 to see the ways that Jesus = Good News (and the ways that Jesus + [stuff] = not good news!).

If you missed our last Gathering, catch up on the podcast and join us next week as we continue in this letter of gravity and grace!

Retrospect Stories

This story is part of our series reflecting on 2018 and looking forward to 2019.

My name is Dave.
One key experience God used to shape me in 2018 was this year's Retrospect. It helped me realize that after a few decades of natural life transitions every 3-4 years, I am entering a season "without bookends." I've honed in on some practices to grow my trust and reliance on God in the mundane and magic of a season where
everyday is kind of like both yesterday and tomorrow. Rather than feeling bored or trapped in this, I feel it's the start of a risky adventure!
My focus for 2019 is RESOLVE, which carries a few different connotations for the year. I have a number of projects I want to move toward their resolution, and I want to live with direction, purpose, and confidence - resolve!
