The Socio-Economic Conditions of
Puerto Ricans in Ohio, 2010

Puerto Ricans had significantly lower incomes than the Ohio population as a whole according to Centro’s Data Center’s new data sheet on the socio-economic conditions of Puerto Ricans. The data are based on statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2010.

In 2010, the median household income from work and other sources for all households in Ohio was $46,090. For Puerto Ricans it was 41 percent lower, $26,785.

This disparity was also evident in per capita income, with Puerto Ricans reporting nearly $12,365 of the population as a whole $23,975.
