Bett 2019
We are looking forward to Bett later this month. The team will be there on stand D260 so please come along and say hi and find out more about how we can support you in school. We are also looking forward to the Bett awards where we have been shortlisted in three categories, for Primary content, Secondary content and for Free digital content or open access resources.  You can find out more on our blog.

LGfL are thrilled to be sponsoring the Friday TeachMeet at Bett.  Taking place at Tapa Tappa next to the Excel on Friday 25th January from 7pm, this informal gathering is a great chance to get talking and share idea with others in the education community. 

BusyThings Update

Mental health and Wellbeing Conference 5th February 2019 book tickets here, a must for all professionals involved in supporting Mental Health and Wellbeing in schools.
LGfL DigiSafe conference 11th March 2019 book tickets here. The theme for the conference next year is Safeguarding online and beyond, a must for Designated Safeguarding Leads and Online Safety Leads.

Digital Excellence Awards 
Our Digital Excellence Awards for 2018-2019 are now open! The aim of the awards is to celebrate best practice and innovative approaches in using LGfL resources and services.  Schools can enter into any of the following categories:

  • Whole school use
  • Inclusive practice using LGfL resources and services
  • Parental Engagement
  • Online Safety
  • Cloud Transformation
  • Use of j2eTools

Be famous! Help to create an animated series for Sky TV
The magical story of Night Zookeeper is coming to life in a new animated series this spring, and we need your students to help create it! You can do this in two ways:
1. Register on and challenge your students to complete the online activities. It's completely free!
2. Book a free exciting assembly from the Night Zookeeper team to launch the project across your whole school. Email with a preferred date.
Get your students involved in this amazing creative project that will excite and inspire your most reluctant writers!

Training from LGfL

We have updated our training portal ready for the Spring term. Training is FREE for all LGfL teachers and is held on a Tuesday at Camden CLC, or at one of our partner venues, you can find out more about the courses on offer and how to sign up here. Examples of future courses include: Supporting Maths and English teaching using LGfL resources, Online Safety training, Creative Computing, Using LGfL to support Teaching Assistants as well as  Google and Microsoft training.
You can also book one of the Learning Resource Consultants to come in to your school and deliver INSET sessions, or map your curriculum to LGfL resources, a perfect way to prepare for the  term ahead and ensure you are making the most of the LGfL resources available to you. Contact us via

Our curriculum blog is updated weekly and now has over 120 posts showcasing resources from LGfL to help support you in delivering the curriculum.  Please let us know what future blog posts you would like or if you would like to write a guest blog post about the work you are doing in schools using LGfL resources.
