Calling Mural Artists

Commemorating Black Bess

The City is inviting local artists to submit mural concepts that explore the story of the boat Leviathan (Black Bess), for the Mandurah Museum wall, facing Dalrymple Park.

Join MCA Arts Expert for a Free Workshop

Peel artists and arts organisations are invited to a free workshop with Gill Nicol, Director, Audience Engagement, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, proudly supported by the State Government of Western Australia and Country Arts WA through the Regional Arts Partnership Program. Gill will share insights from her extensive career in the arts, primarily in the UK and most recently at the MCA, with a focus on audience engagement.

Artists and Audience: Passive or Active

Join this City of Mandurah supported event, led by Gill Nicol to explore the relationship between audiences and artists. This will be a conversational and practical session that looks at the process of creation through audience engagement and the impact of engagement in informing and shaping artistic practice and deepening engagement/understanding.

Masterpieces Art Competition

Entries open 19 November, 2018

Calling artists aged 13 to 25 years for CASM’s annual Masterpieces Art Competition and Exhibition. Start creating your artworks now for the March 2019 event. Artworks may be 2D, 3D or digital including painting, print mediums, textile, sculpture, ceramic, drawing and digital imagery and film. Category awards include 13-15 years, 16-17 years, 18-25 years and Digital Media to the total of $2000. Gift Shop Gander - Tiny Treasures Edition

CASM's annual Tiny Treasures Exhibition provides the opportunity to instantly purchase and take home unique, handcrafted artworks including jewellery, ceramics, glass work, painting, prints, textile and sculpture created by over forty local Peel artists especially for your Christmas shopping. As an extra bonus, enjoy great coffee and food options at the CASM Carpark Artists Market on Sunday 18 November, perusing diverse artisan products while engaging with art demonstrations, children's Christmas activities and local community arts groups.

Survey for Local Artists and Art Groups

CASM aims to support artists throughout the local region to develop their art practice and build a creative community. If you are an artist or art group that regularly facilitates art workshops, or opens their studio to the public, let us know so we can promote the fantastic work you do! Simply complete the following survey.

Upcoming Opportunities for People with Disabilities

To encourage people with disabilities to become involved in Wearable Art Mandurah, we will be offering various opportunities, such as facilitated sessions to design a garment (individually or as a group), or roles such as modelling or helping backstage and front of house at the showcase in June.

Are you an experienced Arts Facilitator that can help young people with disabilities to create a garment?

We are looking for an artist to work with groups of upper high school students on a wearable art garment to be featured in the 2019 competition! We are looking for availability in February and March, and applicants will be required to hold a current Working with Children check.
