The Crucible + Academy of Sciences = Art for World Oceans Day
"A Decent Catch" NightLife
Thursday, June 10, 6-10pm
California Academy of Sciences

Last week we were at the California Academy of Sciences NightLife event with E.R.V., our fire engine repurposed as an industrial arts demonstration platform, working with visitors to create an enduring piece of art to commemorate World Oceans Day. Visitors and Crucible staff fabricated copper scales for a giant fish and decorated a variety of sea creatures for the installation, which will debut at this Thursday’s NightLife.  The collaborative piece will be complemented by other works of art by Crucible artisans, reflecting their varied explorations utilizing the theme of sciences, with an emphasis on World Ocean Day.  We hope you will join us in this celebration of arts, science and our world’s oceans.
