WWT Consulting Newsletter
Our Aerial Survey team recently returned from four days surveying around Scotland’s Inner Hebrides. However, this time, rather than planes, they were on boats. With accreditation in European Seabirds at Sea (ESAS) survey methods, WWT Consulting will now be offering this as an additional service. Read more here or contact us if you are interested in discussing which method may be most appropriate to your needs.
Working closer to home than usual, we have completed a concept plan for a riverside park in Gloucester. On behalf of the Gloucester Urban Heritage Regeneration Company, WWT Consulting developed a proposal for transforming 9 ha of floodplain grassland into a valuable greenspace containing a diversity of wetland habitats. Find out more here.
Building on the work WWT Consulting did last year for London Borough of Ealing, we have again been assessing the suitability of a number of their sites for Water Vole. In addition to this, we also undertook an invertebrate survey on the River Brent and feasibility studies for the creation/improvement of wetlands at three sites. Read more here.
Abroad, WWT Consulting has returned to Sir Bani Yas Island in Abu Dhabi to continue our work developing a wetland management plan. The primary objective being to ensure that where development and tourism activities are proposed, appropriate measures are implemented to maintain or enhance the ecological value of these wetlands.
