Summer stories - a bit of what we've been up to while it's been hot, hot, hot ...

Bleadon Levels, Somerset
Somerset surveys
We’ve been out on the North Somerset Levels, UK, taking advantage of the hot, sunny, calm days to undertake terrestrial invertebrate surveys which will help to inform conservation management planning.
Team Walkaround
Asian adventures
We were invited to visit Sorae Ecology Park near Incheon in South Korea, a small gem of wetland habitat remaining in a sea of development along this fast expanding coastline. We were asked to provide advice to improve the habitat for birds and other wildlife and assess the visitor experience.

Observing Ospreys
The Cors Dyfi Reserve in Wales, UK, now has a fantastic new observatory giving 360 degree views of the Biosphere and into the Osprey nest. The interpretation project we previously worked on is now finished and we enjoyed a sunny team outing to see how the chicks (and visitors) were getting on.
Swale at Wyndhurst Farm, Bristol
University challenge
Designs for a wetland treatment system and sustainable drainage swale at the University of Bristol farm site, UK, which we produced last year, are now under construction and we’ve been checking up on progress to ensure it measures up.
