As we all adjust to the new and rapidly changing COVID-19 health emergency, I want to reach out to ensure you know that I and our Nelson-Creston constituency staff are available and eager to help with questions, problems and information. While our office is temporarily closed to the public, constituency staff continue to work remotely and can be reached Monday - Friday, 10am - 4pm via phone and email.

Phone: 1-877-338-4498 or 250-354-5944

Our provincial government is working to provide much needed supports in many areas — health services, renters and homeowners whose income is interrupted, income supports, student needs and debt, and support for businesses and non-profit agencies to get through this significant economic disruption. We are looking at extraordinary measures to get us through this extraordinary time and will have more to say very soon.

I cannot stress enough the important advice of our Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry that all of us should practice social distancing. Stay home as much as possible, avoid crowds, keep two metres distance from others. And as we always tell our kids, wash our hands — regularly! This is how we will protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our community, and ensure that our health care workers can give needed attention to those who fall seriously ill.
I also want to make sure you have access to the latest public health information about COVID-19.
  • If you are feeling unwell, the BC COVID-19 Symptom Self-Assessment Tool will help determine whether you may need further assessment or testing for COVID-19:
  • If you have medical related questions you can call HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 toll-free in B.C., or for the deaf and hard of hearing, call 7-1-1. Translation services are available in more than 130 languages.
  • Non-medical information about COVID-19 including the latest information on travel recommendations and social distancing. Information is available in more than 110 languages, 7:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Pacific Standard Time at 1-888-COVID19 (1-888-268-4319) or via text message at 604-630-0300.
  • The BC Centre for Disease Control has up-to-date information, resources and best practices:
These are updated regularly, and we will also post important new information and updates on my facebook page

Thank you for taking this emergency seriously and acting responsibly to protect the health of your family and neighbors.
