The Global Frequency

5 September 2021 | Curated by Matt Devost

My week started with a five hour dinner with a friend where we solved the world's technology problems and will end with a Labor Day weekend involving lots of pool time and a few glasses of Michter's 10 year old bourbon.  Enjoy the holiday!  This week on the Global Frequency...

Fact or Fiction:
If you enjoyed Andy Weir's debut novel, the Martian or the film adaptation staring the other Matt D, you'll likely enjoy "Project Hail Mary".  Faced with a new biological life-form that is literally eating the sun, humanity confronts the existential threat with a mission to a nearby solar system that seems to have successfully thwarted the organism.  This is a geeky book with rich technical detail, experimentation, and lots of space mission tension and is a ton of fun.
