Demonstrating ROI

Good news! Executives want more technology-based learning and performance solutions (see below). But this focus means the pressure is on us to show results. It’s crucial that we provide learning opportunities that best leverage current technologies and make sense for our organizational environment and culture. We must also  be willing to create the business case for our learning initiatives and demonstrate solid ROI.

A recent blog post on Chief Learning Officer echoes our recommendations. It states that ROI continues to be one of the least-reported metrics when it comes to learning programs. “Fix this by being more proactive and getting executives on board with aligning learning to the business function.”

Survey Says: Leadership Shows More Interest in Tech-Based Learning + Performance Solutions

What’s on the radar in the C-Suite? According to our 2015 Learning and Development Technology Trends Report, more than 70 percent of respondents indicated that their leadership is showing an increased interest in implementing technology-based learning and performance solutions. That’s up several points over last year. We weren’t surprised to see this support, especially with technology being leveraged in other areas of the organization.
