We're now fully in the swing of 2017 at Lumina, and this is a notable one for us as it's our 10th anniversary year.

Since 2007, we have made many senior executive placements on 5 continents and significantly expanded our global reach. This year alone we are working in the US, Canada and South East Asia - with several more exotic locations to follow.

We recently celebrated the occasion with a successful networking lunch for C level executives at Berry Bros & Rudd, details and photos can be found below. Other anniversary events are planned for later in the year. Thanks for all your support and we look forward to the challenges that 2017 will bring!

For those of you who aren't familiar with this report, it’s brought to you as a useful service to keep you up to date with the ever-revolving door. Here at Lumina, it’s our business to know who is where - and since we’re collecting this information anyway, we’re happy to share it with you, free of charge. All contributions welcomed.

Mover of the Month: John Bozza
Lumina would like to congratulate John Bozza on landing the role of Chief Executive at Racecourse Technical Services Limited (RaceTech). Formerly Commercial Director at SIS Live, John has a wealth of experience in the broadcast and engineering sector.

RaceTech is the leading technical facilities company providing innovative solutions to the horse racing industry since 1946. The company first developed photofinish technology in the 1940s, and still provides leading edge technology for raceday solutions including the operation and maintenance of audio visual systems, closed circuit television, public address and radio communications. We're looking forward to keeping track of their latest technological developments.

Networking Lunch, Berry Bros & Rudd

Earlier in February Lumina spent a very enjoyable lunchtime at Berry Bros and Rudd hosting a networking event with our client Prime Focus Technologies, inviting senior executives from media companies such as NBCUniversal, Deezer, and Warner Bros to a networking lunch.

Gathering in the Sussex Cellar for a wine reception, we were treated to an introduction into the history of Berry Bros, and after some wine tasting and a 3 course luncheon, we even got to explore some of the 2 acres of wine cellars extending under Pall Mall.

It was a very sociable afternoon with many new connections made and business relationships cemented. Our gratitude goes to Prime Focus Technologies and Berry Bros & Rudd for coordinating the event with us.

RTS Events - False News, Unverified Claims and Alternative Facts: What is the Future for Honest Journalism?
It was as recently as January 22nd this year that KellyAnne Conway uttered the phrase “Alternative Facts”, but already it has become a staple in the heated discourse around social media, its potential effects on the distortion of facts and, most controversially, the outcome of referendums and elections.

To address the ongoing debate, the Royal Television Society invited some of the UK media sector’s leading voices to the Hospital Club to offer their standpoints. Click here to read our report.
2016 Round Up

2016 was full of highs and lows to say the least. We witnessed political earthquakes, new world leaders, digital crazes and box office record-breakers.

For the media industry in particular, it has also been an unpredictable year. As we draw a line under these most surprising twelve months and look forwards, it’s useful to reflect on the most significant developments and how they may shape our expectations for 2017.
