VBS coming July 15-19, 2019

The topic this year is The Holy Eucharist. This is an all hands needed event. We will have four stations for the participants—Food facts, Games, Music, and Arts & Crafts. If you've done VBS before, it's time to do it again. If you've not done it before, step in—it's fun!

It begins with supper at 5:45. It is crucial to have 5 meal prep groups, that is groups who will be responsible for planning, prepping, serving, and cleaning up the meal on their assigned nights. Meals and the night to serve are the group's choice. In past years, we have had burgers (from fast food), spaghetti (home made); submarine sandwiches (home made), hot dogs (homemade) so everything is an option. From the supper on, we "follow the leader", who is Pastor Doug this year.

The program will be friendly to non-Episcopalians. To be a success, we especially need 4 storytellers—not the same as worship storytellers, but those who can spin a good, albeit orchestrated, yarn.

Sign up, join in, volunteer with Pastor Doug or Charlie Genova.

No GEMS in May but . . . Marie and Ralph Rubeiz and Marie and George Roper will host GEMS on June 14.  As usual, let the Rubeiz's or the Ropers know you are coming so you will have a seat. Bring a dish to share.

Who are these awesome people?

Did you guess that they learned about the Baptismal Covenant? Did you guess that Cai Armstrong led the discussion? Did you guess that this was the last meeting for the Tuesday Morning group until after Labor Day? Did you guess that they regularly meet at 10 am? I hope so because all is true. Be sure to mark your calendars for the next session.

Sharing God's Love

Hello Everyone:
Thanks to each of you for your assistance as Sharing God's Love helps those in need in our commuinity.
We would like to thank those who participated in the Stamp Out Hunger Drive.  It was a tremendous help to us.
Sharing God's Love needs a volunteer on Wednesday morning from 9:00am to 12:00pm to work in the clothing and household areas.  Please contact Shari Selke at 803.732.3188 if you can help.
Our current ministry needs:  spaghetti sauce, tea, cold cereal, jelly, toothpaste, gently used bed linens and towels
School supplies:  gently used back packs, #2 pencils, colored markers, colored pencils, and black dry eraser markers, 2-pocket folders with prongs
   Many, many thanks.
     Shari Selke - Director; p. 803.732.3188
