Safe, walkable, bikeable, accessible neighborhoods for all Houstonians

Connecting all the dots with Neighborhood Greenways, bikeways, creekways, utilityways, sidewalks, and Bayou Greenways

Houston should add more forms of transportation to its infrastructure toolbox including the Neighborhood Greenways approach shown in the Streetfilms video above and used by the City of Portland and others.

We could connect millions of Houstonians during the next Mayor's term for $100 a person, while providing flood control and water quality in your neighborhood.

Join us for the inaugural meeting of the Houston Tomorrow Department of Transportation, our new concerted effort to institutionalize our work to bring better data, analysis, and exciting ideas to Houston's massive transportation policy arena.

Houston Tomorrow has pushed for several years to focus on building an efficient network of safe streets across the entire Houston region for children of all ages to feel comfortable walking and biking in every neighborhood.

Hear how we can make this happen, how the Houston Bike Plan will help, and how you can begin working on a safe network for your neighborhood.

Join the Houston Tomorrow Department of Transportation

The Houston region is growing from over 6 million people to near 10 million in 2040 and we're spending at least $3 billion a year on transportation.

Are we making the best decisions? Could we build in ways that better improve existing communities and better welcome new Houstonians?

Today, we are launching an effort to institutionalize the Houston Tomorrow Department of Transportation. We need your help to provide the people of Houston with dedicated independent transportation staff.

We can make our neighborhoods safer to walk and bike. We can give Houstonians meaningful transit access to jobs and businesses. We can stop making traffic and congestion worse.
