We braved the chill and had a marvelous Fall Harvest Party at Schooner Farms last weekend! Thanks to everyone who came out and helped—especially the Myles family and Mike Melcher of Apple View Orchard in BG for donating food; our incredible school-family musicians Lucy Long (with the Root Cellar String Band), Sam Herrington (with Toraigh An Sonas), and Tim Concannon for donating live music; and the warm-hearted Becky and Don Schooner for hosting the party.
Also, many thanks to the cooks who prepared food for the teachers during conferences last week; and thanks to all the parents who planned and executed classroom Harvest Parties this week! We have an energetic community.
Join us for the next CAPE meeting, Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 7pm in the lobby, to find out how you can get involved!
Ben Franklin Supports MSBG!
Ben Franklin Crafts, on Main St. in downtown BG, has generously offered to give us 15% of purchases we make at their store next Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 6 & 7. Please plan to shop there one or both of those days, and when you do, fill out the card you received inside the Ben Franklin catalog that went home in book bags this week. Cashiers will have copies of the card at their registers as well. Everything in the store qualifies for the fundraiser, so pick up toys & games, frames, craft supplies, holiday gifts, party supplies, greeting cards, art supplies, tissues for your car . . . they have everything! And thanks for supporting MSBG and local businesses.
