Author Spotlight

by Miss Stephanee (our MSBG Librarian)
The author being featured this week is Maria Montessori herself. She was a prolific author and easily explains her methods and observations. Two books to check out are Dr. Montessori's Own Handbook and Spontaneous Activity in Education. The more we read and undestand the Montessori Methods, the more natural it becomes and carries over from school into our home. Download these books to your Kindle; they are both free!

Library News
While doing your spring cleaning this year, we are asking you to also "clean" out your bookshelves. The library is always accepting well cared for used books, from picture books to more mature fiction and books in a series. We are also accepting donations of electronics such as Kindles, Ipads, laptops, etc. for student use. To make our library more comfortable and inviting, we'd love a couple of bean bag chairs and floor pillos.

We appreciate any and all donations; thanks in advance!

Mulch Day

The Nature Trail path in the Montessori woods has been cleared. We now need to mulch the trail. Please consider joining us on Saturday morning, 9am-12noon, on April 14 for a mulching party! Bring your children, wheelbarrows, rakes, and shovels. It will be a fun morning!

Enrollment Incentive

Save $100 off of your child's 2012-13 tuition!
Any enrolled family may refer another family to the school. After the potential student is enrolled, the referring parent will receive a $100.00 credit to their FACTS account.  CLICK HERE for the enrollment incentive form.

Parents, take our survey!

Last chance for the survey! The deadline has been extended until March 30. We want your third quarter feedback on our school, administration, teachers.

Save Money

We have some amazing ways to save on tuition with Kroger and GL Scrip. Are you interested in serving our school by acting as the parent coordinator for these programs? If so, please email us at msbg@montessorischoolbg.org.
Kroger Community Rewards
It is never too late, or too early,  to sign up your Kroger Plus card.
To sign up, you simply need to login to your Kroger Plus website account and link the Kroger Community Rewards benefit to MSBG (our number is 80235).  This is open to anyone that wants to register, so feel free to get your family and friends to sign-up too!  You will receive the benefits from their cards as well.  However, in order for us to be able to credit those amounts to you, you must send all the names and Kroger Plus numbers to Alisa.Suelzer@gmail.com  Alisa is also happy to help you with registration information as well.

GL Scrip!
Every week our school places an order for gift cards from all types of retailers including Walmart, Home Depot, Chili’s, Amazon.com, Elder Beerman, and hundreds of other establishments.  Each purchase earns a tuition rebate from anywhere between 2% and 18% of your purchase depending on the store.  Login to www.shopwithscrip.com to check out all that is available.  Send an e-mail to Alisa.Suelzer@gmail.com if you would like to have detailed registration instructions sent to you.  Earning free money has never been easier!
