Montessori Moment

Angeline Lillard tells us, "Traditional American schooling is in constant crisis because it is based on two poor models for children's learning: the school as a factory and the child as a blank slate. School reforms repeatedly fail by not penetrating these models. One hundred years ago, Maria Montessori, the first female physician in Italy, devised a very different method of educating children, based on her observations of how they naturally learn." Teacher Appreciation Day is Feb. 25! This is a great time to consider how much MSBG teachers bring to our children’s lives, and how grateful we are that they dedicate themselves to their work. If you admire our teachers, feel confident leaving your children in their care, value the Montessori philosophy, or think MSBG is the best school for your family, please take a minute to share your thoughts HERE. Thank you for your help with this important project!

3rd-8th Grade Dance

Today from 6:00pm-7:30pm our 3rd-8th grade students are invited to a dance in the Oberheu Room.  This is an up-tempo dance DJ'ed by Doug Michaelis.  Doug has been a DJ for many years and is involved with 4-H.  Miss Antonia has been working with the students on some dance moves during P.E.
