Montessori School of Bowling Green is an exceptional place for children to explore, grow, and achieve.
Graduate students, Zac and Tyler, who spent the fall semester studying Montessori methodology had this to say: "We are both quite interested in the Montessori style of teaching/learning. Our instructor for the class we completed observations for is actually a product of the Montessori schooling! The hands on learning and adult life-task learning is a great way to prepare responsible children. The hands on aspect seems to bring out the critical thinking and gets the students to rely on themselves or peers when problem solving. The way that the different levels plan out their own daily schedule of how to tackle the subjects was interesting to observe as well; it certainly lets students feel more involved with their education and empowers them to learn. Overall, we think the Montessori method is great."

Save on Taxes
Please remember that "daycare" is a deductible expense. Since Bowling Green City Schools only offers ½ day (2.5 hrs) kindergarten, full day students at MSBG (6.5 hrs) can count 4.0 hrs as daycare (meaning 61.53% of their tuition is tax deductable); half day students can count 100% of their tuition as daycare as long as they attend a BG school the other ½ day. All extended care (any age) and all preschool tuition is also tax deductable. Please email Leigh Ann McKinney, our Business Manager, at leighann@montessorischoolbg.org if you need a childcare credit expense report.

Montessori Mardi Gras Gala |
|
|
The Gala this year on February 23, 2013 is a new kind of party.
Our Mardi Gras theme means the Nazareth Hall event will be filled with jugglers, dancers, and even a stilt walker to put you in a Bourbon Street frame of mind.
We will be in the Cadet West ballroom this year and will have grazing stations.
Promote Your Business
Think about promoting your business or organization by making a donation to the auction.
This year we're also auctioning off many "experiences," so if you have a talent (cooking? sports? art?), think about offering a lesson for kids or adults.
MSBG is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization; all donations are tax deductible.
