Library News

April is National Poetry Month!  In celebration, the Upper Elementary and Middle School students will be decorating MSBG's sidewalks with poetry to share with the school community.  Take a few moments as you are coming or going to enjoy an old favorite, or discover a new poem.
Over the next several weeks, Miss Rachel hopes every MSBG student will read at least one poem.  Accordingly, all students are encouraged to visit the library and crack open a poetry egg!  Inside each egg, students will find a poem to take home, enjoy, and share.  Be on the lookout for the poetry eggs during the first week of April!

Chess News

The MSBG Chess Club finished their 5-week match in the Great Lakes Chess League, successfully defending their position as Southern Division Champions.  In addition to first place team honors, all participants earned individual honors.  In the 5th-8th grade category Isaac Douglass finished third, while in the 3rd-4th grade category Aiden Skinner placed second.  The K-2nd group was a sweep for MSBG, with Isaac Orth finishing third, Gabriel Skinner second, and an undefeated William Iott taking first.  Oliver Dunn, Alex Stutzman and Robbie Zhang received participation medals.  The match is over, chess is far from finished, we will continue to work on skills until semester's end.  Congratulations to our champions!
