Montessori Moment

Alumni Spotlight:
Kimberley Adler

Kim has had a very successful expereince at Bowling Green High School and will graduate this Spring. She has been a member of Key Club for 4 years, Student Activities Board for 3 years, and was inducted into the National Honor Society. She holds a 4.05 GPA and takes a variety of honors-level courses. She plans to attend college at Rochester Institute of Technology, in Rochester, New York where she will major in major  in Business Management.

Kim attended MSBG through the sixth grade and had this to say about her experiences:

I was well-prepared for middle school and high school because Montessori allowed me to work at my own pace and they had hands-on learning which helped me since I am a visual learner. In some cases, I was ahead academically when I went to the middle-school, especially in math.

Montessori has taught me three things that will prepare me for life: motivation, leadership and kindness. In addition, my mom and my sister are both good influences and taught me many life lessons as well. I want to thank all of the above people and the teachers at Montessori who have worked with me.

I remember researching and writing for the "investigations" throughout the years, playing dodgeball at recess, breaking ground for the new addition of Montessori, and having fun at Camp Willson. What I remember the most was the first time that I stacked up the Montessori pink tower in kindergarten.

Aside from the memories, I will always remember the kindness of the Montessori teachers. They cared about each and every student and when they worked with me, their number one goal was to help each student succeed, including me.
