Please mark your calendar to attend a regional summit on addressing hunger as a health issue and other social determinants on September 14, 2016 in Loma Linda, CA - presented by The Root Cause Coalition in partnership with The Alliance to End Hunger and hosted by Loma Linda University Health. Representatives from healthcare organizations, faith-based groups, the education community, and government institutes will gather to share best practices, offer community connections and resources, and advocate for food insecure individuals and families in the region and across the nation. GODAN Summit 2016

The Alliance to End Hunger has recently joined the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN), which advocates using open data to reach a zero hunger world. Together with Alliance member Auburn University’s Hunger Solutions Institute, we are encouraging attendance at the GODAN Summit 2016 in New York City on September 15-16, 2016. This historic event will culminate in a High Level event at the UN. If you are interested in registering for the Summit, please do so before September 11, 2016. 2016 Hunger Free Communities Summit
October 5-6
Indianapolis, IN

The Alliance to End Hunger will be hosting the 2016 Hunger Free Communities Summit in Indianapolis, IN. The two-day event provides current and aspiring Hunger Free Community organizers and the broader anti-hunger community a forum to learn, share and network while exploring best practices in collective action against hunger. The goals for the conference include sharing successful strategies for collective impact; learning about effective approaches from content experts; and identifying new tools, resources and partners for planning, implementing and evaluating community-based hunger relief efforts. World Food Prize
