2016 Universities Fighting World Hunger Summit
February 26-27
University of Missouri

The 2016 UFWH 11th Annual Summit: ‘From Poverty to Promise”, hosted by the Deaton Institute of the University of Missouri, will be an exciting 2-day event bringing together interdisciplinary collaborations from food banks, high school and university students, anti-hunger advocates, intriguing speakers and food justice activists from across North America, and the rest of the world. Over 250 attendees will be in Columbia, Missouri from February 26-27, 2016 to network, learn about community food systems strategies and create a collective vision. Please join The Root Cause Coalition and the Alliance to End Hunger for a regional summit in New York City exploring the links between hunger and health issues. Representatives from healthcare organizations, faith-based groups, the education community, and government institutes will gather to share best practices, offer community connections and resources, and advocate for food insecure individuals and families in the region and across the nation.
