Alliance Participates in Pioneering GODAN Open-Data Summit

"Diagnosis: Hunger" Tackles Food Security and Health Links in Western U.S.

On September 14, the Alliance to End Hunger and The Root Cause Coalition convened to host the Western Regional “Diagnosis: Hunger” summit with Loma Linda University Health in Loma Linda, California. This regionally-based summit provided a forum for multi-sector leaders to collaborate in a continued effort to research, advocate, and educate, around addressing hunger as a health issue. [READ MORE]

Islamic Relief USA Shares Meat on Eid - A Special Treat in the Fight Against Hunger

When Em Abdo received a bag of meat for the Eid al-Adha holiday last year, it meant much more than a bag of groceries. Em Abdo and her children were spending Eid amid dust and trees in a Syrian camp for displaced families. Gone were the days when she could buy them new clothes for Eid and take them somewhere fun. The Alliance to End Hunger will be hosting the 2016 Hunger Free Communities Summit in Indianapolis, IN. The two-day event provides current and aspiring Hunger Free Community organizers and the broader anti-hunger community a forum to learn, share and network while exploring best practices in collective action against hunger. The goals for the conference include sharing successful strategies for collective impact; learning about effective approaches from content experts; and identifying new tools, resources and partners for planning, implementing and evaluating community-based hunger relief efforts. World Food Prize & Alliance Side Event

Referred to as the "premier conference in the world on global agriculture", the Borlaug Dialogue will feature expertise and diverse perspectives of governmental leaders; policymakers; farmers; CEOs and executives form agribusiness and non-governmental organizations; and scientific, academic and development experts from around the world.
