NGO CSW66 Forum Registration Update


Registration for the NGO CSW66 Forum will open on Wednesday, 15 December. Upon registering, you will also have access to the Forum Virtual Portal. Once registration opens, we will send an email to our mailing list and post on social media.

Advocacy & Research Group's CSW66 Zero Draft Recommendations


In keeping with the NGO CSW/NY mission to inclusively lobby for gender equality, the Advocacy Research Group (ARG) provides solicited and researched Recommendations leading up to and during the CSW Outcome Document negotiations. After researching the CSW Priority Theme with input from the NGO CSWs in the Regions and global civil society, the ARG developed six key Recommendations to be considered for the CSW66 Zero Draft. These Recommendations have been sent to the UN Secretary-General, UN Women, the CSW Bureau, and other receptive member states. Read the six Recommendations by clicking the button below.

Promote your organization on the NGO CSW66 Forum Portal!


Apply for a virtual Exhibit Booth and/or Handbook Ad to promote your organization or Parallel Event and engage with NGO CSW66 Forum attendees.
 

Apply for an Exhibit Booth
Apply to host a virtual Exhibit Booth on the NGO CSW66 Virtual Forum Portal! Leading up to the Forum, participants will be able to visit your booth, learn about your organization, and request more information. During the Forum (from 14 to 25 March), you will be able to have representatives of your organization at the booth available to virtually meet and greet visitors to your booth. Purchase a Handbook Ad
Purchase a virtual Handbook Advertisement to promote your organization and/or Parallel Event on the NGO CSW66 Forum virtual Portal and in our interactive Handbook! Your organization will be featured on the Portal under the “Handbook” tab leading up to and during the NGO CSW66 Forum in March 2022. (See last year’s Handbook page here as an example). Event: Democracy for Human Rights Through CEDAW

On Thursday, 9 December, NGO CSW/NY will be hosting an official side event of The Summit for Democracy convened by the U.S. Department of State, Democracy for Human Rights Through CEDAW. The interactive panel will bring together human rights experts, political leaders, and grass-roots women's groups to showcase a Cities for CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women) campaign. Follow-Up: November Monthly Meeting



Thank you to everyone who joined our November Monthly Meeting on the intersection of climate change and violence against women and girls! View the full program with more information and speakers' bios.

With the upcoming CSW66 priority theme being “Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programs,” the NGO CSW/NY focused its November Monthly Meeting on the underlying impacts the climate crisis has on the security of both youth and women in already vulnerable communities.
