Sweet hours of prayer open GC 2019

United Methodists from all points of the globe spent six hours in prayer for the church before beginning the hard work of reviewing church policy regarding human sexuality.

Praying in tongues and staying calm

The day before the official opening of the 2019 General Conference was dedicated to Praying A Way Forward.

Do United Methodists believe in "praying in tongues?"  They do if you mean the tongues of the world and the languages of the countries where United Methodism is represented. John E. Harnish reports READ MORE.

Following the action online at home

Sunday is a day of reporting and prioritizing of the 78 pieces of legislation that have been submitted to GC2019. 

The report of The Commission on A Way Forward is scheduled for the morning session that begins at 8:30 AM EST . Then in the afternoon the focus is on petitions.
