MC Farhood
In this month's cover feature, Joshua Nevett speaks to Iranian-born rapper MC FARHOOD about fleeing the Islamic Republic and arriving in Liverpool homeless, seeking asylum and unable to speak any English. Bido Lito! Beach Party
The Bido Lito! Beach Party swings into action this June. For four consecutive weekends, we have commissioned local artists to curate various performances in one of a series of beach huts placed on the waterfront by cultural hub Metal during the International Festival of Business. Each weekend between 25th June and 10th July we will be handing over the keys to the Bido Lito! Beach Hut, bringing an exciting range of live performances and DJ sets to the strand.

Keep an eye on for more information and announcements.

Mbongwana Star
This year's Africa Oyé headliners MBONWANA STAR catch up with Glyn Akroyd who discusses the long, inauspicious journey of poverty, polio and life in DR Congo which, against all odds, led to the band creating original and critically-acclaimed music. Mbongwana Star tell us how they are representing something new in the west and how they will translate the sound of their album From Kinshasa to a live audience.
