PINK KINK IN THE PINK PAGES + SPECIAL EVENT

PINK KINK have been not-so-quietly creating a storm in the city since making their live debut at the back end of last year. Matthew Hogarth caught up with the psycho tropical bubblegum rockers in Bido Lito! #64. We are also delighted to announce that the band will be performing at our special Bido Lito! Social in association with WoWFest16 on Thursday 19th April. There's more info on You Can't Be What You Can't See: (Miss)Representation In The Music Media here.

Pink Kink: "Even in the alternative scene, bands are being exploited. It's sad to see female artists who have been objectified in order to sell records. There's nothing real about them."

Stranger Records, home to Lana Del Ray and Charlotte OC, have an exciting new artist added to their roster in the form of ZUZU. The Wirral-based singer songwriter spoke to Phil Gwyn about spirituality, her cosmic influences and the process behind her very special output.

Zuzu: "[Track Clever Gains is] maybe soul or alternative. Or cosmic. That's what it's tagged as online - I think I was feeling pretentious that day. But of course it's pop. Pop gets a bad name but it's not even a genre now."
