Introducing New AWS Solution Provider Program Incentives for AWS Partners. Effective from 1 October, 2021. How to Video
Today, we are excited to share the  two new incentives to further recognise and support the growth, investment, and innovation of our evolving AWS Partner community. AWS Partners are uniquely positioned to help businesses take full advantage of all that Amazon Web Services (AWS) has to offer and accelerate their journey to the cloud. Effective October 1, 2021, the Partner Growth Rebate and Partner Originated Discount incentives will recognize AWS Solution Providers for growing their existing AWS Program Accounts and originating new end-customer opportunities. With these financial incentives, AWS Solution Providers can accelerate their business through new rebates and discounts.
What is a Partner Originated Opportunity? Net-New AWS Business. New use case, solution, or workload of a new or existing customer, resulting in new AWS revenue. Opportunity is not being pursued by AWS. Clear Project Description. Clearly defined end-customer pain points and business requirements, as well as how the AWS Partner is proposing to solve. Partner Sourced. AWS Partner has prospected, sourced, and is driving the opportunity forward

Partner Growth Rebate

The Partner Growth Rebate (PGR) recognizes AWS Solution Providers for growing their existing AWS Program Accounts. AWS Solution Providers are eligible to earn a new rebate each quarter, in the form of AWS Promotional Credits, when their existing AWS Program Accounts meet or exceed the year-over-year growth target.

AWS Promotional Credits applied to eligible AWS accounts are subject to the AWS Promotional Credit Terms & Conditions.

Partner Originated Discount

The Partner Originated Discount (POD) recognizes AWS Solution Providers for originating and winning new end-customer opportunities and developing early stage AWS customers. Partner Originated opportunities submitted, validated, and launched through the APN Customer Engagements (ACE) Program are eligible for a discount.

Additional Benefits for AWS Solution Providers

These new incentives are incremental to the discounts AWS Solution Providers receive today, including the Base Discount and Technical Capability Discount they are eligible for after earning an AWS Competency, or the AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP) designation.

In addition to the Solution Provider Program benefits, AWS Solution Providers can continue to build, market, and sell with AWS by leveraging additional AWS Partner Programs and funding benefits, such as Marketing Development Funds (MDF) and the Partner Opportunity Acceleration Funds.

About the AWS Solution Provider Program

The AWS Solution Provider Program is designed for systems integrators, MSPs, value-added resellers, and public sector partners to resell AWS services to end customers as part of their differentiated solution.

This program provides Authorized Solution Providers financial incentives based on partners’ technical capabilities and success in driving new business, offers flexible contracting options to meet the unique needs of end customers, and provides multiple AWS support models that align to partners’ AWS practice.

ACE Partner Connections. Partner Connections solves for the following: Streamlined opportunity management experience when an AWS Distributor and AWS Distribution Seller are engaged on an opportunity. Ability for AWS Distributors and Distribution Sellers to collaborate on customer opportunities. Ability for Distributors to look up Distribution Seller relationships and vice versa.
