Sydney Contemporary 2013, 19 - 22 September

Following Stiff + Trevillion's work on two successful art fairs in Hong Kong and London, Mike Stiff recently returned from designing the layout, ticketing, entrance and VIP area at Sydney's largest contemporary art fair.  The inaugural edition of Sydney Contemporary, Australia's new international art fair welcomed over 80 leading Australian and international galleries spanning 4 continents and 11 countries.  For more of Mike's musings on Sydney, read his blog: 

The Corner Restaurant, Selfridges wins at 2013 RBDAwards

The Corner Restaurant & Champagne Bar were winners at this year's (2013) RBDAwards.

Designed in close collaboration with Selfridges who were looking for a chic, stylish restaurant that would be comfortable for their female customers principally shopping in their bespoke Women's wear department. The restaurant is located on the corner of Oxford St and Orchard St with large windows to both streets providing magnificent views over London.

Other Restaurant News

Other recent restaurant openings from the S+T studio include a new Jamie's Italian in Greenwich which brings to ten the number of restaurants S+T has completed for the Jamie's Italian family.  Also recently completed is a re-design of the original Villandry on Great Portland Street.  Stiff + Trevillion were also architects for the first design of this now iconic Grand Cafe.

S+T shortlisted for BD Architect of Year 2013

Stiff + Trevillion have been shortlisted for the 2013 BD Architect of the Year Awards, this year in the Office Category.

10-4 Pentonville Road, 1 Valentine Place and Sloane street were included in this year's submission, with 1 Valentine Place already an award winner and Pentonville Road shortlisted for no less than five awards this year.  The Sloane Street Project is under construction with completion expected in Spring  2015.

NLA Great Estates Exhibition

Stiff + Trevillion's Sloane Street project has been selected by the NLA for an exhibition they are holding on the Great Estates of London.  The submission, made in conjunction with Cadogan Estates, is part of a fascinating exhibition looking at the traditional and new landowners of London.  The exhibition runs from 17 October - 17 December 2013 and in addition to plans and visuals of the Sloane Street project, a model of the proposed building has been picked for display.
