JACK IN THE BOX HAWAII BRINGS FOOD TRUCK FLAVORS TO THE ISLANDS
HONOLULU, HI (Feb. 13, 2018) – Jack in the Box heard Hawaii’s demands for delicious street grinds and answered the call when Jack recently unveiled its new Food Truck Series — Asian Fried Chicken Sandwich, Prime Rib Cheesesteak and Pork Belly BLT.
The all new Jack in the Box Food Truck Series is anything but ordinary. Inspired by bánh mì sandwiches, the limited edition offerings are served on Jack’s new rice flour toasted baguette. With Hawaii’s love of Asian food and how popular Vietnamese bánh mì sandwiches have become among Hawaii locals, this new menu appeals to both kama‘aina and visitors alike.
The Asian Fried Chicken Sandwich brings together crispy all-white-meat chicken strips, Asian slaw, cucumbers, and Gochujang mayo. The Prime Rib Cheesesteak is simmered in garlic butter and melted provolone cheese. The Pork Belly BLT marries two slabs of seared pork belly with tangy honey aioli, green leaf lettuce and tomatoes.
Jack in the Box Hawaii also serves up a special “underground” item not on the regular menu. Exclusive to the islands is a Pork Belly Bowl with Fried Rice that you have to ask for. Only available in Hawaii, Jack’s flavorful fried rice made with Portuguese sausage, Spam, eggs, and seasoning from Hawaii’s own Noh Foods turns epic, when topped with seared pork belly. It’s the kind of creativity and quality you can find at a food truck, and now at Jack in the Box.
Head down to any Jack in the Box at anytime to find these fantastic new flavors without having to hunt down a food truck. Late night cravings can easily be satisfied with these mouth watering creations at your neighborhood Jack in the Box.
“Our Food Truck Series line is the perfect way to bring new tastes to Hawaii that anyone can enjoy. It’s food truck food without the food truck,” said Donna Yano, Vice President of Jack in the Box Hawaii. “This is only the beginning. We are already at work on creating more delicious menu items.”
With the Food Truck Series, Jack in the Box continues its trend of staying ahead of the game by bringing innovative new menu items that fans can discover at restaurants, like fast food’s first Sourdough Jack on toasted slices of sourdough, and the Buttery Jack made with premium ground beef simmered in garlic butter.
