CLIMATE ADAPTIVE HEAT STRESS ACTION PLANS FOR VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES IN SOUTH ASIA

The International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) is organising the Second Gobeshona Global Conference (GGC2) on the theme Research into Action from 27th March to 1st April- 2022.
As a part of this event, IRADe in collaboration with South Asian Meteorological Association (SAMA), is organising a session on “Climate Adaptive Heat Stress Action Plans for Vulnerable Communities in South Asia”. This session will deliberate on assessing the impact of heat stress on vulnerable communities by designing gender-sensitive & climate adaptive Heat Action Plans and building capacity among municipalities, regional and national administrative bodies, hospitals, policy-making bodies, and the public.
About South Asia Heat Health Information Network (SAHHIN)
The SAHHIN network aims to act as a platform to promote scientific interventions, develop action plans and empower capacity building among stakeholders that can enable multi-disciplinary participation in helping South Asian countries to tackle heat stress using better preparedness and planning measures.
