Introducing Ben, and more!!

Hello <<First Name>>,
How are you doing?  How is your summer going?  Ours has been very busy, in ways we did and didn't expect.  We are so excited and are adjusting to having Ben in our family.  He is an awesome baby.

After Ben was born, we had very few days left before Hector's interview for the green card, so we had to hit the ground running. As soon as we came back from the hospital, we spent our "resting" time organizing, printing, and copying photos and papers that we needed for Ben's American passport, birth certificate, and for Hector's interview.  We then went to Juarez.  Thankfully, we were able to, quickly, do all of Ben's paperwork.  However, we were very disappointed to find out that Hector's medical exam had expired, and so he had to do another medical test, before he could do his interview.  Once again they saw the spot on his lung, and had to redo the tuberculosis test, which means we have to wait another 8 weeks for the culture results.  Once again we don't understand why this happened, or what God has for us in this, but we are trusting His timing, and plan.

So now what...
Well we had a very encouraging meeting with our field leadership a couple of days ago, and we will continue to try and make the best of our situation, by looking for the opportunites God has for us. We will be in charge of the guest house again, since the missionaries who where taking over for us have a very full plate, helping at the school as well as doing lots of manteinance.  Also, it looks like Hector will be able to continue helping some of the new missionaries with their Spanish study.  Then, when the medical results come in we will reschedule our interview and Lord willing go to the US, for some home assignment time, to catch up with churches, supporters, family, and friends.  We will have to bump the plans of going to the Missions Training until August 2016.

One exciting thing is that God provided the money for us to buy a mini-van.  He also provided a great deal, and my parents were able to buy it for us.  Please be praying that we will find a way to have it down here for the remainder of the time, or at least that God will work it out for us to be able to use it when we move back to the USA.

How can we be praying for you?  Will you please pray with us for:
~The paperwork:  that the consulate might be able to schedule our appointment for the interview in time
~Judah:  that he will be able to adjust to a new brother, and constant moving, from one house to another.
~For wisdom for us, in raising our kids, and in making decisions for the future.
~For the finances: that God will provide the money for the extra expenses of the visa process (extra trips to Juarez, more medical exams, etc)

Thanks so much for your part in our lives,
Hector, Amy, Judah and Ben Flores
